The space

The whole house is yours - no shared spaces with other guests.

Bedrooms: 3 Japanese-style rooms (futon on tatami) + 2 western rooms (3 single beds), 5 rooms for up to 8 guests. The 3 single beds are all on the 2nd floor and the ground-floor bedrooms are futon on tatami, so please let us know in advance if elderly guests are joining.

Inside: living room, theater space with screen and sound system (Prime Video / Apple TV / Disney+), 8-seat dining table, kitchen with 3-burner IH, dishwasher, rice cooker, microwave and fridge, washer and dryer, dedicated workspace with wired internet.

Outside: fenced garden and outdoor dining area with BBQ space (please bring your own grill net and charcoal; an ice maker is available indoors), free parking for 3 cars (the spaces are narrow).

Bath: 2 toilets plus a washroom, bathtub separate from the shower, POLA amenities.

The hillside behind the house has no lighting and the path is steep, so please do not go up on your own.

Guest access

There is a hillside behind the property, but it currently has no lighting and the path is steep, so we do not recommend entering the area. If you must go, please make sure to be accompanied by the property manager.

Additionally, the storage room is a non-public area and entry is prohibited.

Please also refrain from having BBQs in the garage.

Speaking loudly in front of the entrance may disturb the neighbors, so please avoid doing so.

During your stay, please follow the instructions of the property manager. Thank you for your cooperation.

Other things to note

Please make sure to read the House Manual provided at the time of your reservation.

To avoid disturbing the neighbors, please keep noise to a minimum after 9:00 PM.

We will collect all trash together, so please cooperate with proper waste sorting. Please follow the manager’s instructions regarding how to dispose of garbage.

If you accidentally damage anything during your stay, please contact us immediately. Depending on the situation, a damage fee may be charged. Thank you for your understanding.

The manager keeps two cats. If you are allergic to cats, please refrain from booking this property.

Most rooms do not have curtains.

In accordance with regulations, all rooms are equipped with emergency evacuation lights. Therefore, the room will not be completely dark even when the lights are turned off at night.

The manager is male and lives in a separate building next to the property. During your stay, the manager may need to enter common areas (such as the entrance, the electrical room, and the surrounding areas). Please coordinate with the manager regarding suitable times for entry.

If an error appears on the water heater controller, please contact the manager for assistance.

      Caretaker is very helpful and friendly. A big thanks! The house is spacious , great facility , nice kitchen, very comfortable and clean. Cats are super cute. Parking for large cars like Noah or Voxy is challenging , please discuss with caretaker for solution , he is very helpful. Would highly recommend.

Das Haus ist beeindruckend groß und bietet eine perfekte Balance zwischen traditioneller japanischer Ästhetik (wie den wunderschönen Tatami-Zimmern) und modernstem Komfort. ​Es war ein einzigartiges Erlebnis, in einem so authentischen Haus zu wohnen, ohne auf moderne Annehmlichkeiten verzichten zu müssen. Besonders die Weitläufigkeit hat uns nach den Tagen in der Großstadt sehr gutgetan. Alles war extrem sauber und hochwertig ausgestattet. Wer Japan von seiner besten Seite erleben will, sollte hier unbedingt übernachten!
